Welcome to my new Blog! The blog is dedicated to freelance harpists and other musicians who are out there searching the world for a well- paying gig. The harp world as we knew it doesn't exist anymore, so we need to use every ounce of our creativity (and we are a creative lot, aren't we?) to find new ways to make money freelancing so we never have to work in an office. I'm going to explore everything related to our business: finding a gig, creating a website, marketing yourself, wedding gigs,making your own CD, recording tips, amplification and mic tips,exploring the world of jazz and classic rock,playing in a lounge or bar, fees, contracts, house concerts, how to dress for success, weathering the slow months, and a shoulder to cry on or bounce ideas off of.
